Biography
Clare Allan was the winner of the first Orange/Harpers short story prize. She lives in London. Poppy Shakespeare, an arresting account of madness set in a North London day hospital, her first novel, was published by Bloomsbury in April 2006.
Poppy Shakespeare was longlisted for the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction and shortlisted for the BT Mind Book of the Year Award, 2007.
